Hello and welcome to Fille à Flleur, my name is Lara and I'm so happy you found us! I have always been creative and have had an interest in interior design, I kind of stumbled across the florist industry after working in an office and craving a slower pace of life (little did I realise how crazy life as a florist can be!) I worked at another beautiful local florist for the last few years and I'm so grateful for everything I've learnt along the way. Now the time has come for me to venture into the big wide world on my own, I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit and I'm both very excited and a little bit nervous to try things on my own.
Fille à Flleur is Patois or Guernsey French, hence the unusual spelling of "fleur" for flower girl, I've lived in Guernsey since I was eleven and it is most definitely home. I'm very settled here with my fiancé and two rescue dogs so it was important to me that I incorporated my love for the island into our name. Patois used to be spoken by most on the island but it has sadly been slowly dying out as the years have gone by so every little thing we can do to keep the language alive is important.
I hope to combine my two loves of flowers and interiors by offering both homewares and flowers for sale.
